Anna Mae will not, will not talk again until her Mom and Dad take her back home to Maryland where her best friend is waiting for her so they can start 2nd grade together.  But, as Anna Mae discovers, if you can just find a way to communicate, you can find new friends.  And if you can accept the new, you just might find that old and new together make for a life worth talking about.
